Developing the IEP

The Individual Education Plan (IEP) is both a process and a product. The development of the actual plan is but one part of the ongoing process. The process allows a chance to reflect, to share, to communicate with others, and to synthesize information. In many instances, the process alleviates teacher anxiety, as the plan is "owned" by a team - not just the teacher.

We want your input. Our list of topics for this section includes:

  • preplanning
  • establishing clear goals and objectives
  • choosing strategies and resources
  • planning transitions
  • supporting inclusion
  • evaluating the plan
  • ongoing monitoring
  • reporting

We are also including the ICM (Integrated Case Management) and WRAP handbook. Click here to download it.
