POPFASD Update - January 2010
After a relatively quiet December, travel started up again in January. As well, we were very busy working on current projects and beginning new ones:
- presented a workshop at the BC Alternate Education Association Conference
- presented a workshop for the Council For Exceptional Children
- delivered a presentation for the CDBC Assessment Team at Sunny Hill
- wrapped up follow-up activities from our District Partner training
- updated generic handouts and power-points on website
- continued work on our behaviour/communication module
- collaborated on program goals
- began preparation for the Steering Committee meeting in March 2010
- continued work on "Transitioning" and "Multi-disciplinary Assessment Process" modules
- produced the LEIC Wheel for pc's
- trained and prepared for the upcoming Elluminate session for District Partners
- researched feasibility of an on-line training course for educators
- prepared for and attended two Integrated Case Management Community Committee meetings
- continued meetings with MCFD and Health
- completed "Brain Activity" video and prepared it for website posting
- attended a Vancouver Coastal "Improving Communication" meeting at Sunny Hill
- researched and compiled "Transitioning Strategies"
