The continuing story of Joshua where the reader begins by seeing how normal he appears to be and how desperately he wants to fit in and belong. As the novel continues, however, Joshua's behavioural challenges due to early exposure to alcohol, begin to emerge.
The novel is written for preteens, teenagers, young adults, and those with low reading skills and is appropriate for individuals living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and their parents, teachers, therapists, and social workers. Due to the sensitivity of issues raised, prescreening is recommended. As this novel is set in the United States, some references have an American historical focus.
